Clean a Pumpkin

1 pumpkin, at room temperature
1 serrated or a very sharp knife
1 ice cream scoop


Wash and dry the pumpkin.
Cut the pumpkin in half top to bottom.
Remove the strings and seeds using the ice cream scoop, working from stem down.
It is easier to remove the seeds from strings by squeezing them out.
Wash and save the seeds for roasting.
