Shrimp Ceviche

1/2 C lime juice
1 garlic clove, chopped
1/2 C cilantro, chopped
1/2 serrano chili pepper, chopped
1/2 t salt
1/2 lb shrimp, cooked
1 avocado, cubed
1 butter lettuce
nacho chips for garnish, optional


Smooth in a blender the first 5 ingredients.
Marinate shelled shrimp for 5 min, pour off half of marinade.
Add avocado and salt. Arrange on lettuce, add marinade (optional).

Match made in Heaven:

Pisco Sour, or a rich and creamy stout, the darker, the better.
High-acid white wines, like Sauvignon Blanc, Grüner Vetliner or sparkling wine.
Oak-free, low in alcohol.
