Eggs and Bacon in Cocotte

Ingredients:

4 bacon strips, fried to almost crisp
4 eggs
2 T cream
grated cheese
sea salt and black pepper, freshly ground
chives

Directions:

Heat oven to 350F.
Butter the cocottes.
Place these in order in each cocotte:
– 2 bacon strips
– 2 eggs
– 1 T cream
– few sprinkles of grated cheese
– sea salt and pepper
Put on baking sheet and bake for 15-18 min.
Sprinkle with chives (optional)

Match made in Heaven:

Crostini or Cheese Bread, and a cup of coffee
