Apricot Thumbprint Cookies

1 C butter, at room temperature
1/2 C sugar
3 egg yolks
1 T vanilla
2 1/2 C flour
1/4 t salt
1/4 C walnuts, finely chopped
1/2 C apricot jam


Preheat the oven to 350F.
Beat together butter and sugar until smooth.
Add egg yolks and vanilla.
Add flour and salt.
Shape dough into balls and roll in chopped nuts.
Press centers down and fill with jam.
Bake 15-18 min or until golden.
