4 C water
1/2 C dry mint leaves
1 1/2 C sugar
3/4 C lemon juice, freshly squeezed
2 oz whisky
3 oz ginger beer ‎


Steep the mint in 4 C of boiled water for 10-20 min, depending on how strong you like it.
Add sugar, dissolve. Let cool. Add lemon juice. This is your mint lemonade syrup.
In a cocktail shaker combine whisky, 1 oz of syrup and ice. Shake and strain into an ice-filled glass.
Top with ginger beer.

Makes a good aperitif!
